The BMI (Body Mass Index) can be determined using a chair scale. This index is obtained by dividing the value of body weight, given in kilograms, by the value of height squared, given in metres. The range of BMI values was developed with adults in mind, which means that it cannot be applied to children’s weight and height.
You should monitor your BMI for a number of reasons – both health and preventive. Among these are type II diabetes, atherosclerosis, heart attack risk, diet and health care.
